The new installer is much faster, especially for bulk add-on installs. The updated UI displays key details, and if things go sideways, the (also brand new) app-wide logging system can show all the details
Updates now run across many more threads, making everything faster. If something’s missing, logs keep each threaded operation clear and distinct. And the UI got a bit of a refresh, too.
Stacks' Mini Web Server now supports a huge suite of PHP extensions and runs natively—(no more Rosetta needed to work around that bug).
Several critical crashers were fixed—specifically during project Open/Save, add-on installs. Crash fixing isn't flashiest work, but it’s the backbone of real beta testing. A big thank you to everyone who helped out.
Some frameworks need a minimal base theme. A few ship their own, while others depend on themes not yet ported to Stacks. Hopefully this little detail will help get some of those older frameworks going.
This build includes nearly 50 documented fixes, plus dozens more behind the scenes. Check out the full detailed release notes for the nitty gritty.
